Ward No.1 is the biggest clinical department
with 112 beds, specialized in hydrocephalus, cerebral palsy, mental
retardation and pediatric disease.There are 20 physicians, including
five chief physicians, three associate physicians and one doctor-in-charge
as well as eleven nurses including one experienced doctor-in-charge,
two nurse-assistant and eight nurses.
The ward attempts to explore various effective
therapies and approaches. Brain Disease combined therapy is one
of them, which won the third provincial prize and the second municipal
prize. Hydrocephalus combined therapy and external hydrocephalus
acupoint therapy respectively became one of national TCM scientific
popularizing programs in 2002 and 2005, and was popularized home
and aborad. Cerebral palsy combined therapy, based on internal and
external use of herbal medicine and acupuncture therapy together
with modern rehabilitation therapy was one of the provincial key
project by shanxi province, which is also combined with botox therapy
and acupoint embedding therapy. the cerebral palsy combined therapy
is conducted with Beijing Sino-Japanese friendship hospital on SPR
operation, cervical sympathetic nerve removing operation, peripheral
selecting fiber reducing operation and orthesis. The combined therapy
for cerebral palsy could reach to 87.45 percentages. The hospital
newly explores the solutions to mental retardation and gain good
results.
Ward No.1 insists on the principle of serving
for patients, and always sets up the practical and systemic nursing
plan, this becomes new nurse blend model of nursing and rehab. With
the development of cerebral palsy operation, the ward gained lots
of pre, mid and post-operation experience of nursing as well as
rehab consulation.
