Xi’an TCM Brain Disease Hospital is only level-two specialized
hospital for brain disease which focuses on TCM therapy combined
with western medicine. Among the 200 employees, there are 95% staff
with technical degrees. The hospital has 200 beds, equipped with
CT, three-dimension electroencephalotopogram and regular diagnosis
and rehabilitation instruments. It also has affiliated KaiTai hydrocephalus
institute and KaiTai Disabled Children Rehab Research Center and
other six departments of hydrocephalus, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation,
epilepsy, Adult encephalopathy and Rehabilitation. The hospital
is run by informatization management and has established its own
website and others, such as China Brain Disease and China hydrocephalus.
The hospital focuses on scientific research
and emphasizes on clinical practice with highlight of therapeutic
effect. It has obtained four state patents, and undertaken eight
state research projects, including hydrocephalus combined therapy
that won the third provincial prize and second municipal prize and
also has been popularized home and abroad.
The hospital focuses on academic exchanges
and research cooperation and has received the visit groups from
America, UK, Australia, Hungary, Armenia and Poland, as well as
domestic experts. It also established the cooperation with World
Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies, China Academy of
Chinese Medical Sciences, Beijing University of TCM, ShanDong University
of TCM and Shanxi TCM Academy. The hospital also works together
with Shanxi TCM College for Xi’an teaching center, which is
approved to be national TCM continued education base of brain diseases
by China Association of Chinese Medicine. The center has also undertaken
the continued education programs of provincial TCM administration
and TCM association. |
